"Violence Reverses Gains In Iraq"

 On the front page of today's Wall Street Journal (10-25-13) is "Violence Reverses Gains In Iraq," a story claiming the U.S. Military's  many years of effort to crush its Iraqi enemies is falling apart. http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10001424052702304682504579153773333835510

Of course it is falling apart for it never had substance. The intent was to kill, imprison and torture or isolate those who would oppose U.S. control in Iraq. The Shiite government the U.S. placed in power in America's "Green Zone" was supposed to enforce the U.S.'s will, but instead it has aggravated the Sunni minority and has inherited the widespread enemies America had long battled.

The U.S. and many others have yet to learn that committing evil against evil only doubles the evil, and establishes the basis for endless revenge. The only way to a lasting peace in Iraq will be through peaceful means.
