The Way To Peace In Iraq

The Hell of war in Iraq is growing worse as more men, women and children fall victim to the fear and brutality of bloodshed.

The talk from many of those far from the bloodshed is for more of what unleashed the bloodshed in the first place: bombs, guns, military vehicles and more troops.

Brutality is also the call of an Iraqi government that has little support from its people.

Yet when it comes to the Iraqis implementing a cease fire and meeting together to resolve their differences, there is silence. But it is through non-violence and in communication that is the way to peace. 

For brutality only begets brutality while the angel of peace is drowned out by those caught up in the fervor of war and the spoils of oil.

Let us be wise enough and compassionate enough to hold the Iraqi people in our hearts and join with them in seeking an end to the violence and a peaceful resolution to their differences.
