As Iraq continues to explode in war, and the fighting continues in Afghanistan, Syria, Israel, the Palestinian territories, Ukraine and elsewhere, the following Gandhi quote puts war into perspective:
"What difference doe it make to the dead, the orphans and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty or democracy."
Or that war is fought for religious reasons in God's name.
We all know from within our souls that this is wrong, for the Supreme Being, one of love and light would never approve His creations killing each other.
Let us hope from the deepest part of our hearts that compassion and wiser thinking will prevail over the madness and murder that engulfs so many of our brethren now.
