Notes From Peace Demonstrations: Death Explodes Across Iraq

In the U.S. our nation is mourning the horrific attack in a Colorado movie theater in which allegedly one gunman open fire, killing 12 people and wounding 58 more.

But a few days later, bombs and gunfire exploded across Iraq, killing 145 people and wounding 379 more. Yet we in America pay little or no attention to the suffering our war brought to Iraq nor to its aftermath. Two days ago, north of Baghdad, attackers killed 19 more people.

In your heart, perhaps you could say a prayer for an end to all this violence and for the well-being and safety of the men, women and children of Iraq. Thank you.
