Notes From Peace Demonstrations, 42 More Iraqis Kiled On Wednesday, 1/23/13

Even with America having declared its Iraq War over, the carnage in Iraq continues as 42 more people were killed, bringing the death toll over the last week to more than 175 people. http://news.antiwar.com/2013/01/22/iraq-attacks-continue-to-surge-nearly-150-killed-in-past-week/

This is what war does as it unleashes a fury that is hard to control and in its wake takes the lives of numerous men, women and children. For now, there is no peace in Iraq nor is there any reconciliation commission as was done in the 1990's in South Africa to settle peoples' grievances. In Iraq it is just death and destruction.

But it is my hope the Iraqi people will find a way to peacefully settle their differences among one another and live together in peace.
