Yesterday in Iraq, the fighting continued as 38 more people were killed in one area and 13 more in another. Many additional people were seriously injured.
All this death and destruction began with the U.S. invasion and occupation in March, 2003 and here it is 10 years later, and there is no end in sight. Instead it is growing worse.
This cannot be what the Iraqi people want for their families, for most people the world over just want to live in peace and harmony, and be able to provide good lives for their loved ones. And a war such as that the Iraqi people have been through not only kills, maims and orphans, it destroys economies.
I wonder how the millions of Iraq mothers feel every time their lives are rocked by explosives and gunfire, and they look at their husbands and children and ask themselves, are they and I next?
