In the name of peace, we unleash war. In the name of humanity, we murder with impunity. And in the name of God we tear asunder all of God's creations.
This has been true throughout human history.
But there is hope:
If we want a better world, you and I must be the practitioners of love, compassion and goodwill for the greatest, most uplifting actions have always begun with the few and those few ultimately changed the lives of the many.
Such notable people as Gandhi, St. Francis of Assisi, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Nelson Mandela, Mother Teresa, Peace Pilgrim and many others have set a wonderful example for us.
By our thoughts, words and deeds, you and I can help to bring peace to the world and we can begin to bring that peace today.
